SGR Acrylic Headlight Restoration
The Problem
If your headlights have degraded, it is initially due to the original UV coating (protection) breaking down and exposing the surface acrylic to UV damage from the sun and from use of cleaning agents. Once unprotected acrylic is exposed to UV, the surface will degrade very quickly and microscopic fissures will create a dull hazing.

1) MOT Failures
Testing failures due to degraded headlight lenses are common place and increasing.
It is estimated that in excess of 15% of failures are for this reason.
2) Impaired Night Driving Vision
It stands to reason that your headlights are an extremely important safety feature and without clear and unobstructed lenses your night driving vision will be dramatically impaired.
3) Poor Visibility
With less effective headlights you are harder to see from the other driver's perspective.

Every headlight restoration is guaranteed not to degrade for a full two years as they are coated with our own SGR Acrylic Coating. This will Protect the newly polished lenses and prevent the UV values of the sun from further damaging your headlights.
Acrylic Headlight Restoration
You will see other companies offering to "polish your headlights" they will typically use some sort of finishing compound which will give you a temporary improvement however the problem is they do not remove the degraded UV coating, Without this coating removed your lights will start to degrade again and in a few short weeks you will be back to square one!
At SGR We completely remove the degraded coating taking the lens back to its original acrylic, We then create a new highly polished surface and re-coat with our own UV protective Coating.
